Vertisa Medical Waste Sterilization Devices PRE-1000

How does it function?

At the start of each cycle, when the upper lid opens, the operator places the waste into the loading chamber.

Controlled by the PLC, the shredder adjusts its rotation direction to prevent blade jamming, thanks to its “anti-blocking” capability. Optionally, during the shredding process, the waste can be treated with microwaves generated by 6 integrated magnetron units.

Our uniquely designed shredder excels at grinding tough materials such as surgical stainless steel instruments and hard ceramics.

Heating is accomplished by injecting saturated steam until the temperature becomes uniform in both the upper and lower chambers, reaching 134°C (274°F). Sterilization is then achieved by maintaining a temperature range of 134°C (274°F) to 138°C (280°F) and equivalent pressure for a duration of 10 to 15 minutes.

These conditions enable a reduction in pathogenic contamination levels in the medical waste by a factor of 8 Log 10.

During the cooling phase, any excess steam in the chamber is extracted, and the temperature of the ground sterilized waste is lowered by injecting cold air into the autoclave chamber.

The condensed water, which is sterile and can be safely discharged into the sewage system, is drained using either positive pressure or vacuum assistance.

Upon opening of the unloading lid and positioning a container beneath the waste drawer, the operator pulls out the drawer and empties the sterile waste into the container.

As the container is removed, the lower lid automatically closes, initiating the next cycle of the sterilizer.
